On a rainy summers day my ship set sail
They got me drunk on rum and ale
In the dockside inn called “Jonah’s Whale”
I was ten years old when forced to sea
So judge me not and I won’t judge thee
I hardly learnt about the birds and bees
When I had to face the man in me

I saluted then I scrubbed the deck
I stole and robbed to save my neck
As I grew up on that rotten wreck
